Yellow Dot Program

Picture
The YELLOW DOT decal on your vehicle will alert First Responders to vital information in your glove compartment. This will help get medical attention as quickly as possible after a vehicle crash or other roadside emergency. The YELLOW DOT Program was created to assist citizens when they might not be able to communicate for themselves.

To get this FREE program, just stop by the Carthage Fire & Rescue Monday thru Friday 8am-5pm. Just four easy steps. First your photo is taken. Second, you fill out the information sheet. Ask for your name, medical conditions, allergies, medications, doctors, and emergency contacts. Your photo is attached to this form which is placed into a YELLOW DOT folder. Third, the folder is placed in your glove compartment of your vehicle. Lastly, a YELLOW DOT decal is placed on the lower left hand side of your rear window. This will alert First Responders that vital medical and emergency contact information can be found in the glove compartment.
